Officemail (@yourdomain) Evolution Settings

These instructions are setting up Officemail on the Evolution email client. Officemail (@yourdomain) settings can be found here.

username is replaced with your Xtra username.

e.g. For the user: xtrauser@yourdomain.co.nz, their username would be xtrauser. Ensure that you use your username as opposed to the domain alias.

Step by step instructions

• Open Evolution and go to Edit, Preferences, and find your Xtra account from the 'Mail Accounts' tab.

• Click Edit.

The 'Identify' tab is basically all clean sailing.

On the receiving tab, change the following:

• Server Type: POP
• Server: pop3.officemail.co.nz
• Username: username
• Use Secure Connection: SSL Encryption
• Under Authentication Type select Password and tick 'Remember Password'.

On the Receiving Options tab, no changes are necessary

On The Sending Email tab change the following:

• Server Type: SMTP
• Server: smtp.officemail.co.nz:465
• Tick 'Server requires authentication'
• Use Secure Connection: SSL encryption
• Authentication type: PLAIN
• Username: username
• And tick 'Remember password'.
• Click OK, and that's it.

You'll be prompted for your password when it first sends and receives email. Other than that you are all good to go.
